Privacy Policy: CostPerCover Exam Prep

Effective October 2, 2026. Applies to the CostPerCover Exam Prep app for Android.

The short version

We do not collect, sell or share your personal information, and you do not need an account. Your study progress stays on your device. The only data that leaves it is Google Play's own handling of purchases and its purchase-service diagnostics, both described below.

What stays on your device

To work, the app saves the following in its own storage on your phone or tablet:

• your answers and confidence ratings;
• simulation results;
• your notes, bookmarks and flags;
• your exam date and settings.

This information is never sent to us or to anyone else. Android may include it in your own device backup if you have backups turned on. You can export a backup file yourself, and you choose where it goes. Settings › Delete my data erases everything the app stored. Uninstalling the app also erases it.

Purchases

Exam unlocks are sold through Google Play. Google processes the payment under its own privacy policy, and we never receive your payment details. The app asks Google Play which exams your Google account owns so that it can unlock them.

The Google Play billing component inside the app also sends Google technical diagnostics about the purchase service. These include whether a request succeeded and any connection problems, along with basic device details. They go to Google over an encrypted connection, under Google's privacy policy. We do not receive them.

Reporting an error

If you tap Report an error, your email app opens a message addressed to us, with the question's ID filled in. We receive it only if you choose to send it. We use your email address only to reply about that report.

No ads or tracking

The app contains no advertising and no tracking, and we do not run any analytics of our own. Apart from Google Play's billing component (described above), the app makes no network connections. Android WebView's usage statistics are turned off for this app.

Children

The app is designed for adults preparing for professional licensing exams. It is not directed to children.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update this page and its effective date.
